About This Project

A large 10 seater dining table made from two huge planks of English Elm

The ‘Live’ natural edge of the two slab pieces have been left in the natural shape of the tree and a series of ‘stitches’ bridge the gap in the middle of the table.

The size and spacing on ‘stitches allow for you to see threw and understand the shape of the tree while still being close enough together to support any plate or glass you wish to place in the center of the table

The table legs also made from local Cumbrian Elm have a slightly splayed stance to give the table a sturdy and planted appearance in this large open plan living space
