‘Wall Divide’ Bookcase

Bespoke Fit Out, Fitted Furniture, Storage
About This Project

Double sided wall shelving made from Oak and complimentary hallway shoe/coat storage and mirror

Made and fitted ‘into’ the wall dividing the entrance hall of a Victorian house and the living room, this bookcase spans the wall thickness protruding slightly into the living room one side and the hallway the other.

This allows a connection of the two spaces making both feel bigger and brighter while still remaining divided from one another. In this instance the hallway side of the shelving has ‘safety glass’ in it to comply with fire control regulations, but is not always necessary depending on the layout of the home.

The hallway also has some commentary shoe and coat storage made from oak with high cupboards housing the fuse box and utility meters.

Finally there is a matching large wall hung mirror to complete the hallway and make the it seem wider still, with matching flocked panels to the front door paint colour

Individual ‘single’ versions of the custom made Oak coat hooks were also made for use by the back door of the home
