Wych Elm and Walnut Coffee Table

Natural 'Live Edge', Table
About This Project

Made from a really nice piece of Burr Wych Elm with some really nice grain and colours in it, including a fair amount of holes! Which have now been filled with clear resin.

Elm: The type of timber it is. From an Elm tree

Wych: A sub species of Elm, it has a much deeper/richer colour to it

Burr: Where the grain has gone a bit mental! Can have lots of little knots and curls of the grain, running in multiple direction that generally look beautiful

The top has a piece of glass rebated flush into one half of it that is also picked up by the legs/frame creating one straight edge to the table and the ‘Live Edge’ of the Elm on the other. Large radius rounded corner legs made from American Black Walnut
